Broken Fingaz is a self-taught art collective founded in Haifa, Israel, 2001. The artists started out writing graffiti and designing posters for local music venues, but after years dedicated to learning and honing their craft, their output extends to a diverse range of mediums, from animation and sculpture to painting and installation.
In the last decade, Broken Fingaz have become known as relentless innovators, blurring the lines between high art and contemporary Pop culture, and their insistence on the handmade and D.I.Y techniques. Their award-winning work has won them fans all over and they have produced art work for musicians such as U2, Beck, Blink 182, Pearl Jam, Primus, Gaslamp Killer, and Alchemist.

« The French Riviera has always captured the international imagination: a constant site of inspiration, it is a place that evokes a distinguished visual heritage. Paying homage to the modern artists who have made the sublime beauty of this coast so iconic all over the world, this mural brings the tradition of Cannes's cultural past into the present. The large-scale public painting speaks to the unique qualities of the Riviera -- a window symbolises a glimpse into another world, the opportunity to transcend the humdrum, while the joyful juxtaposition of the figure hints at a sense of an adventure to come. These are images that will resonate with locals and tourists alike, a new perspective on the epic views that become unforgettable memories for years to come. »
